Love and Warrior Spirit – Two Sides of the Same Coin (Part 3)

Love and Warrior Spirit – Two Sides of the Same Coin

For the past two days, I’ve talked a lot about the inner warrior. How it gives us strength. How we honor it. Today, I want to talk about something that might surprise many:

The deep connection between love and warrior spirit.

It’s primarily about self-love. We have so many wounds that still influence our entire being, everything we do in the here and now. I’m aware that I can’t make all wounds disappear, but I can at least live with them and accept them.

Self-love is the inner voice that says to us: “You did your best. Next time will be better.” Not the voice that says: “You’re so incapable, what’s wrong with you right now!”

A Paradox

It’s quite a paradox that I’m talking about honoring the inner warrior while I’m sick myself and literally going through fire. And somehow everything is connected. When we allow someone to constantly trigger us through their behavior and we get upset, every upset is poison for our body. The only thing that happens here is that we unintentionally send energy to the other person, poison ourselves through our thoughts and weaken ourselves – and the connection to our inner warrior simply becomes quieter.

We begin to get sick because we don’t have our energy under control.

What really helps me here is when I focus on myself, on my body. Observe myself from a bird’s eye view. Maybe it will help you too.

Anyway. Back to the inner warrior. It’s not just about fighting with others (physically, psychologically), but above all about strengthening the mind. The strongest final boss is always ourselves. “Energy flows, where attention goes”.

Some wars are not worth fighting. It’s good to simply withdraw energy from certain situations. Before a competition, the worst thing you can do is talk about your opponent all the time. Okay, strategic planning is important, but with care, without judgment. Really analyzing from a meta-level has an enormous impact. That’s probably the absolute king’s discipline when it comes to energy management.

My lesson from the past three days is: “No matter how weak you are on your feet, don’t let yourself become mentally weak too.”

The Misconception

In our modern world, love and warrior spirit are often portrayed as opposites. Love is soft, gentle, yielding. The warrior is hard, unyielding, combative. But every person who has been in a relationship knows that every partnership can eventually become a battlefield too. The question here is: “Is it worth fighting this battle?”

Love and war go hand in hand. Everyone who has experienced a separation or separation phase knows this.

Honoring the Inner Warrior

Did you know that in the Middle Ages, nuns were told to imagine Jesus as a warrior with a sword? When I read that in the book “Femina,” I had to laugh heartily. In my heart, I’m somehow like a nun too. From this feeling, I wrote this poem, which also became a song. I also thought a little about my grandfather, maybe also about a crush. It was simply a feeling that made me write this poem.

Love for the (Inner) Warrior

I wish you were

here with me,

and ask

a thousand things

to me,

I’d just tell you,

everything

somehow baby,

I want to see

everything

about you,

yeah I want to

understand you, too,

this love is more

than I thought,

because the Creator

is the one,

who brought…it,

when you walk,

like a soldier, with me,

and when I

die I know,

you will will be there,

even after I leave

this world baby,

cause you’re

somehow just there

even when

I don’t see…you,

if you think

that I,

would ever

leave you,

then you

didn’t think real,

it’s my heart,

craving your truth,

It’s more than

music and culture,

it’s more than

we understand.

Whenever I see

your face,

I could walk

new paths,

don’t hestitate,

let’s create

a new world,

inspire each other,

infect ourselves

with real love,

yeah, yeah, yeah.

Love?

this is more

than love,

Urge?

It’s more

than an urge.

Oh love?

It’s more

than love,

because I

pay attention

to my urge.

Give me

your heart,

I’ll give you mine,

let’s unite,

because we can

see so much,

when we naturally

begin to understand

each other, baby.

You’re a human

and so am I,

we carry the same

heart within us,

it’s written in

the sky

that’s the path.

And if you think

I’m giving

myself away,

then I give you

my heart,

so you always

think of me, too

everyday.

This is more

than a rap,

this exchange

isn’t so wack,

give me the soul

in it,

that’s set,

I’ll always

be here,

yeah, that’s phat.

I’ll always be

here with you,

that’s phat.

The Meaning Behind the Words

“When you walk with me, like a soldier” – this line captures the essence. The true warrior doesn’t fight alone. He fights for something. With someone. For a love that is greater than himself.

“This love is more than I thought, because the Creator is the one who brought it” – here it becomes clear: It’s not just about romantic love. It’s about universal love that connects us with everything. The love that gives us the reason to keep fighting when everything seems hopeless.

More Than Music and Culture

“It’s more than music and culture, it’s more than we understand” – the warrior spirit, connected with love, transcends all categories. It’s not limited to one culture, not to one time, not to one gender.

It is universal. Human. Divine.

Practice in Everyday Life

What does this look like concretely? A warrior with love is someone who:

  • Fights for their family, even when they’re tired
  • Stands up for their values, even when it’s uncomfortable
  • Works for their dreams, even when others laugh
  • Stands up for others, even when it harms them
  • Fights for what’s right, even when it’s the hard thing

This is not abstract heroism. This is the everyday life of a person who has connected their inner warrior with love.

The Question of Why

The question is not whether we have to fight. We live. So we fight. Even our cells fight every day in our body.

The question is: What are we fighting for?

If the fight exists only for the sake of fighting, it will consume us. But when the fight is carried by love, it gives us strength we never thought possible.

Your Experiences

What are you fighting for? What or who gives your inner warrior meaning?

Is it your family? Your art? Your vision of a better world? Your connection to the divine?

Let me know. I’m curious about your stories.

Tomorrow I’ll conclude this series with a reflection on how we can live the inner warrior in everyday life – and why that’s vital for survival.
