The Little Warrior Within Me – A Journey to the Inner Warrior (Part 1)
I would count myself among that breed of woman who enjoys reading books about war strategies. From any culture. A woman who has always moved comfortably in male-dominated spaces – not least because of my breakdancing background – and who plays bass, which is actually a rather male-dominated instrument.
And yet I love being a woman. It’s a blessing, no matter what the hormonal situation is. Every phase has its justification.
Right now I’m feeling under the weather. I don’t know exactly what it is, but I can feel it. At the same time, I want to really take off with my blog and my content on Substack. I have the feeling of being thrown back again and again.
In such moments, I turn inward.
When Words Become Medicine
In difficult times, I reach for spiritual books and open them at random. Any book – it can even just be the Bible. Most of the time, I find an answer to my problem.
One of my favorite books for such moments is the Hagakure by Yamamoto Tsunetomo – a collection of Samurai stories and wisdom.
The last three times I opened it, I kept landing on the same page from the eighth book: “Narano Matabei Goes to the Shimabara Battle.”

It’s about Matabei, who had smallpox and thought he could no longer go to war. Then he received a message from his sister: “To suffer from smallpox when the war begins means that war fortune has abandoned you.”
And what did he do? He went to battle anyway. With smallpox. He was honored by the prince and survived.
Let’s assume it will continue like that for me too.
This story didn’t find me by chance.
The Answer I Wanted to Hear
Why did I keep landing on this page? I love how energies work. It was exactly what gives me strength – the message I needed to hear.
Sometimes opening a book gives us more clarity than two-hour conversations with people we know.
But why is that?
We can give ourselves the answers to difficult questions – if we apply the right methods and really listen deep within ourselves. It’s the so-called “Holy Spirit” that gives us the answers.
And this answer set something in motion within me.
The Beginning of a Journey
This week I’m taking you on a journey to the inner warrior. Because unfolding one’s inner voice begins with recognizing one’s own powers within.
The inner warrior is not what many people think. It’s not about aggression or violence. It’s about the strength to get up when you’re down. About the determination to keep going when everything in you is screaming to give up.
Matabei with his smallpox showed me that again.
Now it’s your turn:
Have you ever used an oracle? Opened a book, drawn cards, or searched for answers in another way? Have there been moments when something kept coming to you – a sign, a message, a story?
Let me know. I’d really be interested.
Tomorrow continues with Part 2: How I honor my inner warrior.
If you’re interested in this book, you can buy it here. It helps me continue writing posts 🙂
